Scandinavian
Harmony in shape and design for your bathroom
When most people think of Scandinavian countries, they usually imagine endless woods, crystal clear lakes and colourful wooden houses. These cosy dwellings look like cheerful splashes of colour amidst an unspoilt landscape full of charm. It is this pristine lightness that the Scandinavian style embraces with impressive authenticity. A minimalist design combined with organic shapes creates an atmosphere that conveys a sense of freedom and security at the same time.

The Villeroy & Boch Legato and Squaro Edge 12 collections provide their own elegant interpretations of the Nordic style.
To do so, natural aesthetics are given a new modern twist. Gently curved ceramic products that convey incredible lightness are the result. The Scandinavian style mainly uses muted colours such as grey, beige and light blue to add a simple touch of colour. The colour concept created by the German-Danish designer Gesa Hansen from Villeroy & Boch fits in beautifully with this formula. The subtle winter blue and the timelessly beautiful shade of grey are perfect for giving your bathroom a Scandinavian look with that certain “je ne sais quoi”.
As sunlight is rare in the far North during the winter, the Nordic style relies on a sophisticated lighting concept. A clever interplay of different light sources is needed to produce different moods with ease. A ceiling lamp with a light temperature of more than 5500 degrees Kelvin radiates a stimulating brightness similar to daylight, whereas a subtle shade of blue has a calming effect. Bathroom mirrors equipped with LED technology provide a bright light that can be easily switched on for putting on make-up or shaving.
